Employer Advisory Council (E.A.C.)

Crescent's byelaws allow for the formation of an Employer Advisory Council, made up of a representative from each employer that accesses the Crescent network of healthcare providers. There are currently around 70 members of the EAC who are invited to a meeting every other month to discuss items of importance to regional employers and to be updated about Crescent's activities. Four members of the EAC are nominated to server on Crescent's Board of Delegates to ensure the employers have a voice in the governance of the company.

The bi-monthly EAC meetings usually include a brief business update followed by a 30-40 minute educational presentation on a subject of interest to human resources and benefits management professionals.

The meetings are sponsored and hosted by Crescent Health Solutions, but are conducted by employer representatives.

EAC meetings are usually limited to representatives from member companies, but some meetings are open to the wider Western North Carolina employer community. In particular, certain educational sessions have been videoconferenced to locations throughout the region and other employer representatives are invited to attend.
